This picture was taken 4 days after my Dad died. So often what I share is in the framework of what I do for my clients….how working with me is so awesome…blah blah blah. But today what I want you to know is this: Even tho in this photo I was grieving, for a few hours, these ladies allowed me to find space for light & laughter. Without the beautiful individuals I call “Clients” and “Friends” my life would be infinitely less joyous, less meaningful and the challenges I face would be so much more daunting. It was a sad weekend for my husband and I as we celebrated the life of his dear aunt Janis. My ᑕᗩᖇEEᖇ ᑕᕼᗩᑎGE began while I was grinding away at my job as a Salon Owner 💇🏻‍♂️💆🏽‍♀️ The chemicals were killing me and my health took a serious nose ᗪIᐯE ⬇️ During the height of my illness (around 2016) I remember counting the steps needed to complete a service and literally having to sit down… …or lay Down! while my assistants swept, cleaned my station and took care of checking out my guests. I just couldn’t count on my body to support me in the physically demanding job that I loved, so while exploring wellness remedies, I made a list of transferable skills for my next “act”: ✔️The ability to listen and make people really feel HEARD ✔️37 year track record of excellent customer service when things went well…and when they didn’t. ✔️The ability to assess shape, function and form to end up with the most complimentary results for each unique situation. What matters is the wash, the style, and the brand. 💙 Straight cut: looks great on those with more weight on the bottom half of the body…especially if you think skinnies don’t work for you, a slim/straight is a great alternative. 💙 Bootcut: great for hourglass shapes, also good on those with a fuller bottom half. Great with flats or a mini heel. 💙 Flare: the more exaggerated sister to the bootcut.
